Nate helped found the Shocker Organization and has been involved in sports his entire life. Growing up playing rec basketball and baseball in Anderson, SC, he also played baseball for T.L. Hanna High School in Anderson.

Nate started his coaching career in Charleston with his oldest daughters rec team and has been coaching in rec and travel fastpitch softball, basketball, and baseball leagues for the last 8 years. He has previously coached the Orange Grove Middle School girls basketball team and is currently the head coach for the Orange Grove Elementary girls basketball team.

Nate also does some moonlighting at Charleston RiverDogs games; this upcoming season will be his 25th with their organization, say "hi" when you see him! Nate has two athletes playing for the Shockers and has coached 8u, 10u, 12u, and 14u teams for the organization.

Coach Craig returns to the Charleston Shockers for his 2nd season as an assistant/1st base coach for the 10U team. A native of New York, Coach Craig was a three-sport athlete at Onteora Central High School (NY) in football, basketball and baseball. On the diamond, Coach Craig fell in love with the game of baseball/softball at an early age while participating in Little League, Babe Ruth, Junior Varsity, Senior Babe Ruth and Varsity baseball. Coach Craig was also a contributing player on the first ever coed softball team at Sacred Heart-St. Francis School (NY 1997) which competes in the Orange County Parochial School league. Coach Craig’s love of the game grew stronger when he started to vacation with his family in Cape Cod (Orleans, MA 1994-2019) every summer. Here Coach Craig was introduced to the Cape Cod Baseball league, “Where tomorrow's stars shine today." Coach Craig was able to meet, interact, learn, and watch some of the best collegiate baseball players/managers during these summers. Coach Craig attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, class of 2005, earning a Bachelor Degree in Sports Management with a concentration in Professional Sports management. In the summer of 2005 Coach Craig completed a Baseball Operations internship with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League. In 2007 Coach Craig accepted a job with the City of Charleston Police Department where he is currently assigned as the School Resource Officer at James Island High School. Coach Craig is a member of the Charleston Police basketball team and Charleston Police softball team. Coach Craig is also volunteering to coach his son’s tee ball team from Barrier Island Little League. Recently Coach Craig was able to attend a Coaches workshop called Double Goal Coach: Coaching for Winning and Life Lessons which was put on by the Positive Coaches Alliance
